The Doors have released a single song teaser of the band performing "Moonlight Drive" at the Hollywood Bowl, along with a trailer for the upcoming DVD collection, Live At The Bowl '68. The footage, which like most of the clips from the band's Grammy Award-winning 2009 documentary When You're Strange: A Film About The Doors, has been restored with breathtaking clarity, showcases the band captured live on stage on July 5th, 1968.

Live At The Bowl '68 will be reissued on October 19th in a number of formats, including CD, DVD, Blu-ray disc, and a double album. A severely truncated seven-track version of the Hollywood Bowl performance was first released in 1987 as Live At The Hollywood Bowl, which ran just over 22 minutes. The new release includes the entire show with newly remastered sound and visuals.

  • Bonus features on the Live At The Bowl '68 DVD include Echoes From The Bowl, the Doors' route to the Hollywood Bowl; memories of the group's performance at the Bowl; Reworking The Doors, which includes an in-depth look at how the original Hollywood Bowl footage was restored; along with three bonus performances -- "Wild Child" from The Smothers Brothers Show in 1968, "Light My Fire" from The Jonathan Winters Show in December 1967, and live version of Them's "Gloria" with "specially created visuals."
