Bruce Springsteen is definitely making sure his new album gets the pre-release buzz it deserves by streaming it for free online and featuring three tracks on network TV. The stream of the new set, High Hopes, due out on January 14th, comes on the heels of the set being briefly available on Amazon, seemingly by accident, until the MP3 tracks were pulled from the site -- but not before enough people downloaded them and uploaded the songs on various torrent sites, undoubtedly and ultimately hitting Sony and "The Boss" in their respectability pocketbooks.
The High Hopes songs -- the title track, "Hunter Of Invisible Game," and "The Ghost Of Tom Joad," were featured on Sunday night's (January 12th) episode, of CBS' drama, The Good Wife.
Peter Frampton is hard at work on his upcoming album -- his 16th solo studio set, and followup to 2010's critically acclaimed, Thank You Mr. Churchill. Frampton posted a message to fans on Facebook saying, "Happy New Year!!! Writing a new song but it doesn't get any easier. Playing guitar is the most enjoyable part of the process for me. Coming up with the initial idea is easy. Finishing it is the hard work. But the end result is worth it. Some live and get recorded and some fall by the wayside. Recording the finished piece is the where it gets enjoyable again. Love to mold the track with great sounds and playing. The techy stuff is mucho fun in my new studio. I have lots of new stuff in the works. Have a great new year!"
